Dear reader,

Everyone can be a journalist. It seems a simple job to do. You just get your info and copy/paste it into a paper, and if the editor likes it, your name is mentioned.

If you claim to be unbiased, fearless and truthful, you cannot simply trust the given information. You have to verify and check, but this is not always done.

Only when the information clashes with their own mandates and convictions, their one-sided version of fact checking is proudly displayed. Selective fact checking in other words.

Not to worry, we’ll do the fact checking for them so that you can get better, balanced information.

The world is often a strange, twisted place. Some humans have willingly caused this to happen. We try to rectify mistakes where possible. Not everywhere, mind you. We’re only human.

Happy reading and enjoy your weekend braai filled with official smoky goodness. Don’t forget to invite your neighbours too, irrespecitve of who they are or what they’re like.

Cheers!

Tim
