The moment when MSM, most Western governments, Big Tech and celebrities all walk with each other and all talk the same talk, is the moment we take a backseat to take it all in. This refers to the current Russia/Ukraine war. We have learned that this propaganda of “everyone in agreement – no arguments” compares to the draconian rules, censorship and police brutality of the West during the 2020/21 Covid pandemic. Peaceful protest were met with brutal police violence and censorship was (and still is) rife. How is this different to what Russia currently does with violently suppressing anti-war protests and one-sided state propaganda? West and East are not that far apart.

We need context. We need all sides to tell their story. This should be common sense, but all we hear and read is the version of the Western world. Can they be trusted? We trusted them when they invaded Iraq where the invasion was based on undeniable proof that weapons of mass destructions were present. They were not. Was this invasion justified? You decide.

Yes, Russia is the aggressor, but their demand prior to the Ukrainian invasion was not that unreasonable: do not join NATO. Ukraine did not (but applied to join), but were still invaded. Historic glory and Putin’s appetite for a unified Russian federation obviously were bigger than the adherence to this term, or did he need to invade before admission was granted? 

What is the truth? What are the underlying reasons for this war? We are not sure. Yet. What we do know is that not everything is at it seems. On that, we are sure.
