Dear reader,
The world is interconnected. When something happens anywhere anytime, the world knows about it in mere minutes or hours.
Mostly it’s good thing, but this interconnection can also be a bad thing.
A small number of people have disproportional influence and can easily direct the flow and content of the world’s information. They have become untouchable and powerful.
We are not talking about those low on the ladder; the individual editors, ombudsman, journalists, contributors, picked scientists & experts. Comparatively they have little influence. We mean those on the very top on a global scale.
Historically, too much power in any person has proven to be dangerous.
Tim
